You might be wondering what has guinea pigs got to do with PMP certification exam?

Or is PMI now in bio-pharmaceutical experimentation business where project management knowledge areas will be converted into a capsule, that PMP candidates can swallow to become super PM experts?

That would be far awesome, that means no more studying, just walk into any pharmacy store and buy a PMI prescribed “Promanagol” or “ProManagecilin” capsules! Ah sweet, but far from it.

As you are well aware, the new exam was supposed to launch in December of 2019. But after much global consultations of the Register Education Providers (REP), the dates was shifted to July 2020. So, from now till June 30, 2020, you can still test the current PMP exam objective.

In preparation for the new PMP exam launch, PMI is inviting PMP candidates the opportunity to be part of the pilot group that will attempt the new PMP exam before the global launch.

PMI has a scheduled date of March 9-20, 2020. I know a lot of you are excited for this once in a lifetime opportunity. But PMI is willing to register 600 participants only from across the globe.

The pilot exam will be offered only in English language. The next thing I know you are thinking is the price; is it free? Well, no, it is not free. PMI member will receive a rebate of USD $81.00 for the $405 exam fee. If you are not a PMI member, you will receive a rebate of USD $111.00 for the $555.00 exam fee.

As a pilot group, you have one nice gift from PMI; say you did not pass the exam when the results are released, you will be able to retake the exam at no cost, I think that means for free! Yes, for free.
